Continued from front page.... just a look back over the month of October 2006 is enough to convince me of that. The so-called war on terror and the deaths of innocent people in so many countries are obvious reasons, but there is plenty more. So much of the fighting, and indeed the propaganda, is being fought around, on and within the bodies of women, that I sometimes feel like a bone between two dogs. In the one corner, a fundamentalist Christian establishment which I wouldn’t trust for two minutes with any “rights” I may have today, and in the other corner more men who - well, suffice it to say that I can't see a great deal of difference between the two sides. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the beginning of the Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp and reminds me of what I learned there - that for me, feminist politics cannot be separated from Goddess.
